    Automated Octane Rating Unit

    Fully automated RON / MON knock rating of gasoline and aviation fuels

    The CFR-A1 Auto determines and certifies the knock rating of automotive gasoline and liquid spark-ignition aviation fuels in terms of Research Octane Number (RON) and Motor Octane Number (MON), over a working range of 40 to 120 octane number. The sample fuel is tested in a standardized single-cylinder, four-stroke, variable compression ratio, carbureted CFR engine under a defined set of operating conditions. With one-button operation, the unit automatically and precisely searches for the fuel level giving maximum knock intensity, with no manual adjustment required.
